Easy BA English Notes Poetry || Tartary

Tartary is a romantic poem. The poet imagines himself to be the lord of this imaginary land.He tells us what type of luxurious life ,he would lead if he were the lord of this land.
If he were the lord of Tartary, his bed would be made of ivory and his throne would be made of pure gold.Tigers would roam in his jungles, fishes would jump in his pools and peacocks would dance in his courtyard.Drum beaters would invite him to his meals. His court would be lighted with colourful lamps. He would wear gorgeous royal dress and go for hunting.Seven zebras would draw his buggy .The imagry used in this poem is highly fanciful and romantic.Slanting fishes, dancing peacocks, roaring lions, and his royal buggy drawn by zebras make this poem romantic.
