B.A EASY ENGLISH NOTES ON NOVEL..THE OLDMAN AND THE SEA

 Novel.Q# 7.Santiago,s Humanism/Love for Sea Creature [
.Ans.Santiago is no doubt humanistic by nature. He is full of the milk of human kindness.During his fishing adventure,he shows sympathy and love for birds and other sea creatures. He addresses the fish by the title of brother .He wishes to feed the fish.He feels sorry for the small and delicate birds. Some times he considers it a sin to catch the fish.He opens the sail for a small bird and asks it to take rest.He calls the stars, the moon and the sun his companions. He says "No one is alone on the sea".He kills his sense of lonliness by talking to the birds and the fish.He considers the fish superior to human beings for her noble qualities. He takes pity on the hooked marlin.he dreams about lions who play like young cats in the dusk.He loves them as he loves As a conclusion we can say that Santiago wins our sympathies as lover of nature and sea creatures.(the end)
