When I have Fears || Easy BA English notes

What are the fears of Keats?

This poem is a swan song of Keats. He entertained the following fears about the impending death . He fears that his brain is full of lofty thoughts but he will not be able to pen down his thoughts .He also fears that his approaching death will not let him write voluminous books. He wishes to preserve his mature ideas in the form of books but death will not allow him to do so. He wants to enjoy the cloudy sky .It has romantic associations. He fears that he will never be able to have a glimpse of these romantic symbols. Then he thinks of his beloved and feels that he will not be able to relish the magical power of unreciprocated love. He wants to enjoy the fame as a poet but he fears that his imminent death will sink every thing into nothingness. Voluminous: a large in quanitity/huge in size.
