In this poem ,the poet has presented a social rebel who violates the prevailing code of conduct.He is bent on contradicting every act of the common lot.His motive is just to look prominent from others.
He keeps long hair when other people keep short hair.He makes a noise in the classroom when other students sit quietly.He wears gaudy clothes when others wear serious looking clothes.He praises cats when others praise dogs.He prays for sunshine when the people are praying for rain.He accepts offers by saying yes please when others are rejecting the offers by saying no thank you. In short his behaviour is contrary to society.
